Enamels: Scarlet, Harrisons orange, Green 3278 & Colcloughs brown
Lustres: Silver
Glaze: Blown yellow matt
Frequency Ranking: Rare
Design Date: 1936
Production Period: 1936
Pattern Name: Probably created by Bumpus referring to ”Spanish motif” text from the Pottery Gazette review for pattern 4795.
The pattern book describes the design with “As 4795 but green shaded at foot instead of brown. Leaves green with brown shade. Silver foot. Lined in scarlet and silver. There is also a pattern 4825A “As above but no shade on green leaves”. Neither description properly matches items seen that are numbered 4825, therefore the pattern probably evolved into what we have in the picture with leaves shaded from green to orange and scarlet , with a green band and green lines.
