Tube-lining: Black
Lustres: Orange, green, primrose & black
Glaze: Fawn
Frequency Ranking: 30/50
Design Date: 1937
Production Period: 1937 - 1938 but some chargers were produced later up until Charlotte left the company
Pattern Name: The name Arabian Scroll is used by Bernard Bumpus but the origin is unknown
This is the more common of the three styles of Arabian Scroll. Although most examples have the period 2, (AGR2), backstamp, several chargers have been seen with the AGR5 and even AGR7 style and therefore this pattern probably stayed in production at a reduced level until Charlotte left Richardsons.
It is not unusual to find examples without the green and primrose lustres. The other numbered variations of this design are: 4925, green and scarlet with off green glaze and 4957, green and scarlet with fawn glaze. Both are quite rare and jointly hold equal 50th place in the ranking.
